Bacularis installation fails at first step

I tried to install Bacularis on a newly setup server, running Ubuntu 24.03 LTS. Bacula 15 ist installed and running.

The manual (https://users.bacularis.com/user/packages/) starts for this OS version with the following command:
wget -qO- https://packages.bacularis.app/bacularis.pub | gpg --dearmor > /usr/share/keyrings/bacularis-archive-keyring.gpg
However that fails with "-bash: /usr/share/keyrings/bacularis-archive-keyring.gpg: Permission denied". I tried ruinning the same command with sudo, but get the same result.

What am I missing?

Welcome to the Bacularis User Group.

Thank you for your report. This is a problem in not precise documentation point. This command needs to be run using root account.

We will fix this documentation. To use it on the non-root account, please use this command:

wget -qO- https://packages.bacularis.app/bacularis.pub | gpg --dearmor | sudo tee /usr/share/keyrings/bacularis-archive-keyring.gpg >/dev/null

Sure, thanks for your feedback.

This documentation was changed. We changed this documentation by adding info that the commands need to be run using root user account.

On Ubuntu with default user settings, it will be for example:

sudo -i

and after logging in all commands can be executed.
